Map the accounting rules
Define earnings, deductions, employer costs, accounts and dimensions with payroll and finance.
PAYROLL · FINANCE · OPERATIONS
Turn payroll exports into a controlled accounting workflow. Kernel helps assess existing connectors, map business rules and build the missing checks or custom workflows around your systems.
Discuss this workflow ↗A department can be missing, an account can be mapped incorrectly, or a repeated import can create a duplicate. Finance needs to know which records need review and who should resolve them before the journal is posted.
Define earnings, deductions, employer costs, accounts and dimensions with payroll and finance.
Flag unmapped codes, missing departments and differences against approved source totals.
Keep a batch reference, a review step and a clear rule for corrections and reprocessing.
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE · NOT A CLIENT CASE
ADP offers an integration for ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central that transfers payroll journals and employee data. Its prerequisites include the General Ledger Interface. Before proposing custom work, we assess that option, its licensing and your configuration. Kernel can then scope the additional reconciliation, approval or reporting your team needs. This is a public product example, not a claim of a Kernel implementation.
Product reference: ADP integration for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
A focused first scope can include a mapping document, an exception report and an approval workflow. If your environment uses Workday, UKG, NetSuite or another ERP, we assess the exact product, licensed interfaces and permissions before proposing an integration. No universal connector is assumed.
We start with your current systems and available interfaces. The assessment determines whether native features, an existing connector or custom development fits the workflow.
That is not the service described here. We focus on systems integration and operational controls. Payroll and accounting owners validate calculations, classifications and statutory obligations.
